touring...Moab, Arches, etc...

Memorial Day weekend fun...we took the girls, my sis & 6 month old, my husband's bro, and my Scottish cousin...
Dead Horse Point... Three red heads, we ran into another of my husband's brothers...
Lil' Bay posing at Sand Dune Arch...
Boo is a rock climber...it's her daddy's fault...since this trips, she's tried to climb all the trees, rocks, chair rails, etc she finds...I don't mind, especially if she can be a tom-boy and still keep up her cute feminine side (climbing in her sun dress)...
balancing Balanced Rock...
me and my cousin from Scotland who thought this was all just 'pure dead brilliant' (in a great accent), especially the open air toilets...haha...
we look just like our daddies!
first time we've seen this....Delicate Arch, it was great!
dutch oven peach cobbler done tin foil dinner style, after our tin foil dinners...
1 large can of peaches
cover with one package yellow cake mix
dot with squares of butter
wrap in tinfoil, careful not to let juice leak
throw into hot coals! yum!
...served with home made ice cream in a baggy...
s'mores with Jet Puffed...nothing but the best!
Sand Dune Arch with some handsome, rugged guy...
...this arch was seriously like a play ground for the kids. If they are done hiking (it's only a 5 min walk) and just need to let loose some energy in a safe place (no cliffs to fall off), this is where to do it, they rolled around in this sand dune, buried themselves, climbed the small structures, there were kids swarming everywhere...
...just us girls in the morning...i love my girls...
...always great to end a camping weekend with breakfast at Denny's.

I am so excited that you had such a great trip...Chris and I want to take the boys camping but are a little nervous, mostly about the sleeping arrangements...any advice?

I'm amazed at how well the girls did...we brought a pack n' play for each. Then as soon as the sun cast a shadow on our campsite (it was around 8pm) we bundled them up and put them to bed. I didn't mind if they cried a little cause I knew it wouldn't be bothering other sleeping campers so early, and I knew if I did that, they would adjust more quickly on their own. The adjusted very quickly and slept through the nights quietly. Wow. We brought books to read, hiking packs, portable high chairs to strap them in to eat or if we just needed them to stay put. Otherwise we let them run and get dirty. Oh...and three packs of diaper wipes for four days. We used them all.

Great pictures. I love how you went camping even though the little kids and all make it tough.

I remember vacationing young and the new experiences of trips and camping are some of my sharpest memories.

Oh it is so beautiful there. I'm looking forward to our trip out, it's nice to have a change of scenery. Everywhere out here is trees, trees, trees. They're beautiful but I like variety too!
