"Remember that this is the time in my life that I have dropped off the face of the world as I knew it, to enter the realm of motherhood. My eulogy will mention all of the accomplishments I’ve done before this time and after my children are grown. But the greatest achievements of my life, will be the children that come from this quiet anonymous period." –Me, written in my journal shortly after my first daughter came into the world.

Wow, that was beautiful - and totally what I needed to hear right now. Lately I have been struggling with the fact that all I am doing right now is raising children. I wish our society valued motherhood more. Oh well, I guess I would be in big trouble if I always needed society's recognition, huh? Anyway, thank you for that. When I was reading it, I thought you got it from a book or something. Very beautifully written.
Thank you for that! I also needed that reminder! It feels like I am doing nothing somedays... other than laundry and cleaning up messes, but it is so much more important than that! Thank you!!
I love that!
Well said or quoted. Just what I needed to hear too. I have changed a million diapers today and I am ready to scream. But I will never trade in the great moments I get with my children and being there mother. Your wonderful! thanks
