...a friend of mine introduced to me a new sort of "bow-making" get-together.Thrift: each of us brought bunches of flowers, the best were from the dollar store of all places! She shared hair clips and brads. Each bow was probably a dollar to make at the most (instead of the 6$ you would buy it for pre-made).
Self Reliance: made them myself! we threw all the flowers into the middle of the floor, and from there, tore apart each one and mixed and matched and made new hair-bow flowers. it was so much fun to do, I did it again soon after with my sister.
Talents: so easy to do! be as creative or as simple as you want.

...especially to my little brother serving a church mission in Japan right now and my sister who served in Washington D.C.

SO CUTE! i need you to help me... i've tried making them but i had a really hard time finding cute flowers that weren't $5 or $6 for each flower! the dollar store, really?! i'll have to go flower hunting again...
Love them! I've been wanting to learn how to make them for the upcoming addition. Are they hard??Where do you get the brads and clips?

For spring, dollar stores have some awesome flowers, or there is Walmart. The gems for the centers, come from Walmart. The brads are the tiny tiny scrapbook brads found at Walmart or scrapbook stores. The hair clips are also at scrapbook stores like Roberts, or online at ebay (single prong alligator clips) or at hair salons stores.
